FYF membership involves many benefits. From 2010 several new benefits have been added and existing benefits have been improved.

• Voucher: One man week of YKI staff time per year (including possible visits at the annual consultancy day). Three days for SMEs. NEW 2010!
• Webinars: All YKI scientific seminars to be broadcast on member-exclusive web site. The goal is to host top-class scientific seminars at YKI twice a month.

  YKI R&I Project Portfolio
• The opportunity to influence YKI's research project portfolio. IMPROVED 2010.
  FYF board defines needs once a year (Dec-Jan) and votes on YKI project proposals (Feb). FYF members get exclusive opportunity to follow granted FYF projects (March-Nov) by following regular web-cast project meetings.
• Members have first right to purchase results from projects that the FYF board chooses to follow actively prior to publication.
• FYF Member Days free of charge and exclusively for members only.
• Authorization for participation in consortium projects (networking), where non-member companies may be invited, but at a cost which is 50 % higher.
• Application guidance and research partner for EU-projects.
• Preferential fees and priority for YKI courses and workshops.
• Full access to and support from YKI’s library services.
• The opportunity to train staff in surface chemistry at YKI.
