Peter Alberius appointed new President of YKI

Peter Alberius Acting President of YKI since June 2008, has been appointed President of YKI by the Board of Directors from April 6 2009.

“I am deeply honored and very proud to have been elected President! I thank the Board of Directors, our owner SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and YKI's staff for their full support and confidence. In order to reach our vision of beeing the most attractive partner for research and innovation in applied surface chemistry, YKI continues to strive for customer relevance in all aspects of our operations.

Although times are indeed rough for most of our clients, I am convinced that YKI will continue to prosper as an Institute, and deliver customer value and highest possible return of investment. In fact, YKI’s start of 2009 is stronger than last years, both result wise and contract wise. In particular we have grown on EU-contracts, but we also see a continued strong inflow of industrial contracts.

I am looking forward to an active dialogue with our clients in order to generate the necessary input for setting YKI up for best possible split vision capacity. This dual capability monitoring strategic industrial needs, and connecting those with the fundamental scientific development, has been, and will continue to be the focal point of YKI’s activities.”
